About Kelly Albig
Mixed Media Artist, Dog Caricatures
Hi,
I’m Kelly Albig, the artist behind Kelly Albig Art. I’ve been drawing since I could hold a crayon, but like many, I stepped away from art after high school. Life got busy, and perfectionism kept me from being consistent.
A few years ago, I rediscovered the joy of creating through simple doodles of my dogs. Those imperfect, fun little cartoons quickly turned into custom portraits that capture each dog’s unique personality. It all started with my puppy Gilligan, and one special drawing that my sister turned into stickers for his work as a therapy dog. Seeing how they brought smiles and comfort to people was incredibly rewarding and reignited my passion!
Today I specialize in whimsical, personality-packed dog portraits that celebrate the bond between dogs and their people. When I’m not sketching or painting, you’ll find me volunteering with my therapy dogs, Mako and Gilligan, helping train new teams, and spreading joy through animal assisted therapy.
Creating art that brings happiness to your day is my greatest blessing.
